Mission: To provide a safe, hospitable shelter for homeless single women and/or families with legal custody of minor children. Our goal is to assist our guests in attaining housing.

Program: HHCS provides emergency shelter services for up to 45 days and case work. Emergency services include shelter, housing supplies, clothing and toiletries. Case Management includes information and referral, transportation assistance, housing counseling, and budgeting.

Other aspects of the shelter include internships and volunteer opportunities.

Service Area: Douglas County and Twin Ports area

Age Group served: all ages

Requirements for service: Homeless single women, homeless women/men with legal custody of their minor children. House Rules must be followed and program requirements met.

Staff: Harbor House Crisis Shelters has 2 case workers, 2 House Managers, an Assistant House Manager and many faithful volunteers to help staff the shelter 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Intakes for admission are completed by appointment only. Appointments can be made Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
